The process of getting a sealant is quick, easy, and painless. We will clean, rinse, and dry your teeth. Then we’ll paint on the sealant, shining a light on the tooth so the sealant will harden. The sealant shouldn’t bother you when you talk or eat. Sealants also do not cause any side effects. Experts recommend that children get sealants as early as possible. 

A sealant can last for as long as 10-15 years. We’ll check them to make sure they’re still in place when you come to our family dentistry office for your annual cleaning. Keep in mind that sealants do not replace fluoride when it comes to cavity protection. You still need the fluoride in your drinking water and dental products to keep your teeth strong, healthy, and cavity-free.
